The Taliban assures Uzbekistan that the Koshtepa canal project will not harm the country. A delegation from Uzbekistan visited Kabul, and the Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid said that the canal project benefits both nations, Daryo correspondent in Afghanistan reported.
Uzbekistan has expressed concerns about the impact of the Koshtepa canal project on its water resources and agriculture. The Taliban has pledged to protect Uzbekistan's interests in the project, aiming to ease these concerns and promote cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier Daryo reported that Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khodjayev, engaged in a crucial meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Abdul Ghani Mullah Barodar, in Kabul on October 29. The discussions culminated in the signing of export-import contracts worth UZS 1,185,000,000 ($97,199.15) across various sectors such as agriculture, textiles, logistics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, footwear, and electrical engineering.
