A trade and economic delegation from Uzbekistan made a visit to Kabul, as confirmed by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce associated with the Taliban movement.
Leading this delegation is Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister, Jamshid Khodjayev. The primary objectives of this visit are to promote bilateral trade, address transit challenges between the two nations, and establish an exhibition featuring Uzbekistani products in Kabul. The "Taliban" Minister of Commerce, Nuriddin Azizi, received and welcomed the delegation at the airport.

The Uzbekistan delegation comprises various officials, including Ismatulla Irgashev, who serves as the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ilkhom Makhkamov, the Minister of Transport, Ibrahim Abdurahmanov, the Minister of Agriculture, Jorabek Mirzamahmudov, the Minister of Energy, and other dignitaries.
Notably, previously, a 30-member Uzbek delegation had traveled to Kabul for discussions with Taliban representatives. During that visit, the "Taliban" had expressed their intention to enhance trade and economic ties between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
Earlier, it was reported that illegal Afghan refugees in Pakistan are forced to go back to their country. The United Nations refugee agency has issued a grave warning about an impending "human rights catastrophe" due to the decision of the Pakistani government.
