On October 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan met with Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The discussions centered on the outcomes of collaborative efforts during Uzbekistan's tenure as the organization's chair and the preparations for the forthcoming summit.
During this period, the multilateral partnership among Turkic nations has advanced at an accelerated pace, with over a hundred events taking place and the establishment of fresh avenues for practical cooperation. Additionally, Uzbekistan has attained full membership status within the International Turkic Cultural Organization.
The meeting also addressed the prospects for further enhancing mutually beneficial collaboration across various sectors, encompassing trade, sustainable economics, investments, innovation, transportation and logistics, tourism, environmental matters, youth policies, and the promotion of the cultural and historical heritage of Turkic peoples.
Earlier, in October 20, it was reported that the second meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) commenced in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with a warm welcome extended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. President Mirziyoyev expressed his sincere gratitude to the leaders of the member states for supporting Uzbekistan's chairmanship and for their continued commitment to the Organization of Turkic States.
