Israel has detonated the home of a senior Hamas leader on the West Bank. This was reported by Al Jazeera.
In Arura, near Ramallah, the house of Salih al-Aruri was completely blown up. Al-Aruri, presumed to be in exile in Lebanon, is the deputy chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau. At the time of the incident, he and his family were not at home.
Israeli forces had taken control of al-Aruri's home ten days ago and had been using it as an intelligence center.
"The explosion of this house was more symbolic. Israeli intelligence aims to capture al-Aruri. He is seen as one of the actual organizers of the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7," said an Al Jazeera correspondent.
Israel also announced that it had killed another Hamas member connected to the organization's attacks on October 7, in which 1,400 Israelis died. Additionally, during a ground operation, Israel eliminated influential Hamas militants.
