Gas tankers produced in Afghanistan's Herat region were recently exported to Uzbekistan, marking the first such export between the two nations, Daryo correspondent in Afghanistan reported.
These tankers are manufactured by the private enterprise "Ohan burish," and the company adheres to American standards, with oversight from Turkey. This development signals increased opportunities for investment in Afghanistan under the Taliban government, which is dedicated to resolving industrial challenges.
Taliban officials in Herat, including Maulvi Nur Ahmed Islamjor, the governor of Herat province, view this export as a significant economic step for the country.
Recently, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan entered into a five-year agreement to facilitate the purchase of necessary vehicles. The memorandum outlines the cooperation between relevant ministries and the Uzbekistan Automobile Sales Company, aiming to address contractual gaps created by political changes in Afghanistan.
