Following the discussions between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, a ceremony for signing bilateral documents took place, the President's press service reports.
The signed documents encompass various areas of cooperation, including:
- An agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Qatar concerning collaboration in tourism and business activities.
- A memorandum of cooperation between the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Social Development and Family of Qatar.
- A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Qatar.
- A memorandum of understanding regarding investment cooperation between the Reconstruction and Development Fund of Uzbekistan and the Qatar Investment Agency.
- A memorandum of understanding between the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan and the Qatar Administrative Control and Transparency Authority.
Furthermore, the visit led to the following agreements:
- A memorandum of understanding between the Religious Affairs Committee of Uzbekistan and the Doha International Center for Interreligious Dialogue.
- A memorandum of understanding between the National Center for Human Rights of Uzbekistan and the National Committee for Human Rights of Qatar.
- An agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar for the establishment of a joint businessmen's council.
- A memorandum of understanding between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar.
Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Chairman of the Board of Power International Holding, Mutaz al-Hayat to discuss the construction of a high-speed highway, expansion of ammonia and urea production capacity, and the establishment of business and hotel infrastructure, along with healthcare facilities in Uzbekistan. On the same day, the president also met with the Executive Director of "Al Mirqab Capital" and discussed the exploration of prospects for cooperation, focusing on the development of the hotel infrastructure and tourism services within Uzbekistan.
