Uzbekistan's state security officers have recently apprehended multiple drug couriers who were transporting hashish in different regions of the country.
The operation was initiated in the Namangan region, where officials discovered over 9.7 kg of hashish in the residence of a Yangikurgan district resident, which had been transported from Kyrgyzstan.
In another district called Uychi, investigators intercepted a Lacetti car traveling from Andijan to Namangan. They discovered over 1.3 kg of hashish in the vehicle, also brought in from Kyrgyzstan.
Meanwhile, in the Tashkent region's Pskent district, two residents of the Fergana region were arrested while receiving 8 kg of hashish. The drugs, which were imported from Tajikistan, were hidden in a cache. Later, a Bekabad resident who left the hashish at the designated location was also detained.
