    President Mirziyoyev receives delegation led by Chairman Bilal Erdoğan of world ethnosports confederation

    President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan received a delegation led by Chairman Najmuddin Bilal Erdoğan of the World Ethnosports Confederation, on September 8. The meeting focused on discussions related to the further development and promotion of national sports and folk games in Uzbekistan. The visit also included the conveyance of greetings from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and expressions of gratitude for Uzbekistan's support of the International Ethnosports Festival held in Khiva.

    Chairman Najmuddin Bilal Erdoğan conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 

    International Ethnosports Festival in Khiva

    The delegation expressed sincere gratitude to Uzbekistan for its support and successful organization of the International Ethnosports Festival. This event marked a historic occasion, with the participation of nearly 2,000 athletes from more than 60 countries. It served as a platform for promoting traditional sports and fostering international camaraderie.

    Development Plans and Road Map:

    During the meeting, discussions revolved around the development of educational programs based on a joint "road map." This collaborative approach aims to leverage the expertise and resources of both Uzbekistan and the World Ethnosports Confederation to enhance the promotion and preservation of traditional sports and folk games.

    Exchange of Experience and Training:

    President Mirziyoyev and Chairman Erdoğan discussed the importance of knowledge sharing and experience exchange. They emphasized the need for training specialists, coaches, and referees in traditional sports, which will contribute to the growth and sustainability of these activities within Uzbekistan.

    Involving Youth in Ethno-Sports:

    A key focus of the conversation was the widening of cooperation in involving young people in ethno-sports. Recognizing the importance of engaging the younger generation in preserving cultural heritage through sports, the leaders discussed strategies to inspire and educate Uzbekistan's youth in traditional athletic pursuits.

    The meeting between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Chairman Najmuddin Bilal Erdoğan of the World Ethnosports Confederation underscores the commitment of both Uzbekistan and the international sporting community to the preservation and promotion of traditional sports and folk games.
