UEFA has unveiled the trio of nominees for the Best Coach of the Season award.
The finalists from the 2022/23 Champions League, namely Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) and Simone Inzaghi (Inter), as well as Luciano Spalletti, who guided Napoli to victory in the Italian championship, have been named among the three nominees.
This final selection comprises coaches from clubs that participated in European competitions during the previous season, national team coaches of UEFA member nations, and a panel of qualified journalists.
The identity of the winner will be disclosed on August 31 during the draw for the group stage of the Champions League.
Coaches and journalists were tasked with choosing their favorite three coaches from the list, assigning them five, three, and one point each. The ultimate outcome depended on the combined tally of votes received from both coaches and journalists. Notably, coaches were restricted from voting for themselves.
