On July 29 at 10:27 local time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 struck the Namangan region in Uzbekistan.
The epicenter was located in the Kasansay region, with a force of 2 points and a depth of 5 km. The coordinates of the epicenter were 41.08 degrees north and 71.57 degrees east.
The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent was 198 km in the south-eastern direction.
There were no reports of seismic activity in any other parts of Uzbekistan, and no information has been provided regarding any damage or injuries.
Earlier, Daryo reported that a draft plan recently unveiled on the governmental portal revealed that approximately 40% of neighboring Kazakhstan's total land area is classified as a seismic region.
