The Convention "On the Promotion of Tourist Attractions for the Sustainable Development of Communities, Peoples, and Nations" was adopted during the second session of the Eurasian Council of Culture, Science, and Education in Antalya, Turkey, on November 7, 2017. As part of the convention's implementation, an international committee was formed to focus on the attractiveness of tourism and the sustainable development of tourist destinations. One of the key objectives of this committee is to promote tourist attractions and foster sustainable development within communities, societies, and nations.
The decision to include a specific site in The World List of Particular Tourist Attractions is determined through a voting process during the session of the International Committee for Sustainable Development of Tourism. Currently, Uzbekistan boasts the inclusion of four historical landmarks in this esteemed list.
