Kazakhstan Hydrometeorological Service predicts adverse meteorological conditions in Aktobe and Atyrau, Kazakhstan, on July 6. These conditions may lead to a decline in air quality in these regions, media reports.
Aktobe is expected to have variable clouds and no rainfall, with a north-to-northeast wind blowing at a speed of 3-8 meters per second. Temperatures will rise to 33-35 degrees Celsius during the day, dropping to low clouds at night with a temperature of 19-21 degrees Celsius. These conditions can contribute to harmful substances accumulating in the atmosphere, leading to increased air pollution levels.
In Atyrau, the weather forecast predicts scattered clouds with no rain. A north-to-northeast wind is expected to blow at a speed of 0-5 meters per second at night and 6-11 meters per second during the day, according to meteorologists. Temperatures will vary from 23 to 25 degrees Celsius at night, reaching 37-39 degrees Celsius during the day. Low clouds are expected at night, and the air will warm to 24-26 degrees Celsius. Pollutants may accumulate in the atmosphere due to these meteorological conditions, but the level of air pollution is expected to decrease.
Experts suggest that residents of these cities should safeguard themselves against pollution by limiting their outdoor activities, particularly in areas close to highways and other sources of pollution.
Children, pregnant women, and individuals with chronic lung diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and allergies should avoid going on long walks and carry medication when outdoors. Outdoor physical activity should also be limited, and indoor sports complexes are recommended.
