KazTransOil, the largest national oil transportation company in Kazakhstan, aims to transport 1.2mn tons of oil to Germany via the Transneft trunk oil pipelines by the end of 2023, media reports.
As per the company's official press release, the total amount of oil transported has reached 290,000 tons since early 2023.
The oil is delivered to Adamova Zastava before being sent to Germany. This transit is made possible by an agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan, and the Government of the Russian Federation signed on June 7, 2002.
While the company has expressed its ability to transport 1.2mn tons, the actual volume will depend on requests from oil companies.
