Monuments commemorating the Second World War partisans in the Park of Partisan Glory, located in Darnytskyi District, Kiev, were vandalized as individuals poured paint and defaced them. The incident was brought to light by the "Country's Politics" Telegram channel, Sputnik Middle East reports.
According to the Telegram channel, "Unknown individuals poured paint on the monuments dedicated to the partisans of the Second World War in the Park of Partisan Glory in Darnytskyi District, Kiev." Inscriptions such as "executioner," "occupant," and "Chekist" were also left on the busts of Soviet heroes.
Earlier, it was reported that a monument to the Russian literary classic Alexander Pushkin and Soviet generals Nikolai Vatutin and Alexei Zygin was demolished in Poltava. In Odessa, a monument to Empress Catherine II was also dismantled, and a Ukrainian flag was placed in its stead. Recently, a bust of Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was removed in Kiev.
