Representatives from Uzbekistan's Embassy recently met with the President of Pupuk Indonesia, Ahmad Bakir Pasaman, along with Production Director Bob Indiarto and Vice President of Procurement Arif Fauzan, to discuss plans to expand cooperation in the chemical industry.
During the talks, Pasaman expressed great interest in Uzbekistan's rapid development and highlighted the country's strong economic potential. He specifically mentioned the promising prospects of Uzbekistan's chemical industry, particularly regarding their high-quality chloro-potassium mineral fertilizer.
Reportedly, Pasaman also expressed Indonesia's interest in acquiring potassium chloride and other fertilizers from Uzbekistan for agricultural purposes.
The Indonesian delegation presented investment projects in Uzbekistan's chemical industry to further clarify the direction of the bilateral cooperation.
The chemical industry in Indonesia is mainly concentrated in Java, particularly in the cities of Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bekasi. A few large companies, including Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company, dominate the industry.
