The Democratic People's Republic of Korea fully supports the Russian people who are "protecting their sovereignty and future from the imperialists" and wishes them prosperity and victory. This was stated in a congratulatory message sent by the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-Un, to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, on the occasion of Russia Day.
"Kim Jong-Un noted that today the fight against the growing threats to the Russian people, the call of enemy forces trying to undermine the country's sovereignty, security, and peaceful life is escalating to a new important stage. Kim Jong-Un noted that our people fully support and express solidarity with the people of Russia, who are striving to fulfill the sacred task of protecting Russia's sovereign rights and interests from the arbitrariness of imperialists," said the message published by the Korean Central Telegraph Agency.
In his letter, Kim Jong-Un added, "justice always prevails, and the Russian people continue to be victorious."
Furthermore, he emphasized the friendship between the peoples of the DPRK and Russia, which has become a "valuable strategic asset" for both countries. According to the leader of the DPRK, he is ready to strengthen further good neighborly relations and strategic cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow.
In October, Kim Jong-Un congratulated Vladimir Putin on his 70th birthday and noted the success in achieving the "great strategic goal of building a strong Russia."
It should be noted that North Korea has supported annexing Ukraine's Donbas region, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson province to Russia.
