The Italian Association of Cattle Breeders, in collaboration with Uzbekistan's partners, plans to launch two projects worth €90mn (nearly $96.7mn) in the Mirzaobod and Lower Chirchik districts.
As per the report, this initiative stems from the memorandum of understanding signed between the Uzbekistan Ministry of Agriculture and the Italian Cattle Breeders' Association during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's official visit to Italy.
With 40,000 members, the Italian Association of Cattle Breeders is the largest organization in Europe in its field. It boasts 14 private veterinary and genetic laboratories. It has established successful partnerships with Uzbekistan in the past, including a project to establish one of the world's largest rabbit farms in the Tashkent region.
The farm aims to produce up to 2mn rabbits annually while growing animal feed, natural fertilizers, and meat products.
