A requiem rally dedicated to Victory Day was held on Victory Square in Kyrgyzstan, Daryo correspondent from Bishkek reports.
The event was held with the support of the President of Kyrgyzstan and the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, and personnel of the armed forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Its participants stressed the need to preserve the memory of the Victory over the fascist invaders.
The event was attended by cadets of military universities, and students of secondary educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan.
The main goal is the military-patriotic education of the younger generation and the perpetuation of the exploits of the Kyrgyz people who fell in the battles of the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1945.
As the head of the department for educational work, Colonel Dzhaparov Bakyt, noted: "We must always remember the feats of arms of our grandfathers and learn the lessons of this terrible tragedy."
“This action will become an example of selfless service to the motherland, and respect for veterans. The Memory Watch has begun. Next year there will be even more of them, and we will select the best students and cadets for this honorable mission,” he added.
At the end of the solemn event, the schoolchildren occupied the Memory Watch near the Eternal Flame on Victory Square.
