Kazakhstan’s air passenger transportation has seen a surge in revenue of 1.5 times in the first quarter of 2023 compared to last year. Flight prices increased by 17.7% in April, media reports.
Passenger transportation has increased by 39.5% from January to March, with Almaty being the most popular destination, with 893,000 passengers being carried in the country's largest metropolis in the first quarter.
The capital, Astana, has secured the second position, with 722,000 passengers, whereas Shymkent has seen 268,000 passengers.
