The Minister of Economic Development of Hungary, Marton Nadi, speaking at the Tashkent International Investment Forum on April 27, announced that direct flights between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Hungary would commence in the second half of 2023.
According to the minister, this would strengthen the already close relationship between the two countries, despite the 4,000 km distance. He also stated that the new direct flight route would greatly benefit the bilateral economic relations.
During the latest Uzbek-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation meeting, the possibilities for increased interaction in several industries were discussed, including textile, food, agricultural, pharmaceutical, and chemical.
