Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the president of Uzbekistan, has issued a decree entitled "On additional measures to support the employment of young people and provide them with permanent employment", UzA reports.
Starting from May 1, 2023, and lasting until January 1, 2025, employers will be fully reimbursed for the social tax paid for employees under the age of 25, the decree says. This reimbursement will be made from the state budget and will include budget organizations, state enterprises, legal entities where the state owns 50% or more of the capital, and exceptions where social tax is paid at a rate of 1%.
However, the reimbursement will only start from the seventh month if the young employee works continuously for at least six months. Furthermore, in 2023, the reimbursement of the social tax will come from the budget of the republic to the non-budgetary Pension Fund of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
