The Russian airline "Pobeda" launched its first flight from Moscow to Samarkand on March 21, at 06:00 local time, and landed at Samarkand International Airport.
According to tradition, the plane was solemnly greeted with a water arch, and the crew and passengers were greeted with the sounds of karnay and surnay (musical instruments).
Moscow - Samarkand - Moscow route is planned to operate twice a week - on Fridays and Mondays.
"Pobeda" is a Russian low-cost airline, a subsidiary of the "Aeroflot-Russian Airlines group" with headquarters at Vnukovo Airport (Moscow).
