April 17. Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva received a parliamentary delegation headed by Chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Boris Kollár.
During the meeting, the parties drew attention to the need to more effectively work on the institution of "inter-parliamentary friendship groups" in establishing relations with the Slovak parliament at all levels.
“Uzbekistan has achieved progressive democratic reforms in a short time, opened itself to the world and is gaining a worthy place in the world community. Undoubtedly, Slovakia and Uzbekistan are mutually interested in further strengthening cooperation in trade, economics, tourism and other areas, and it is necessary to use the potential of inter-parliamentary dialogue more widely,” Kollár noted.
The parties also agreed on the exchange of experience in the field of parliamentary, especially on the intensification of contacts within the committees, and mutual support for the positions of both countries within the framework of international parliamentary organizations.
