Students from one of the prestigious educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan reportedly wanted to hide drugs worth around $140,000 in the local Botanical Garden, press service of the State Committee for National Security reports.
Synthetic drugs were found in schoolchildren's bags during a search, weighing about a kilogram in 69 bags.
The cost of a gram of this narcotic substance reportedly exceeds $114 and one dose costs $57.
The price of the entire batch of 2,302 doses was about $140,000. A criminal case has been initiated for possession of narcotic substances. The detainees were placed in a pre-trial detention cell.
The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan emphasized that due to the widespread use of synthetic drugs, their manufacturers often attract schoolchildren and children for a small fee. According to the Criminal Code of the country, such offenses can lead to imprisonment for up to 12 to 15 years with confiscation of property.
