The historic city of Samarkand on April 13-14 hosts regular inter-foreign consultations on the inventory and improvement of the treaty and legal basis of Uzbek-Turkmen relations following a program of cooperation for 2023-2024 inked in July 2022.
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry reported that the parties discussed the current status of the existing treaty and legal framework and aspects of expanding the legal basis of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting focused on the bilateral experience in concluding and implementing international treaties, establishing norms of general international law, and exchanging information on the documents under development designed for adoption in the forthcoming bilateral event.
Besides, the parties noted the order of publication of international treaties and maintenance of the unified electronic accounting and archiving and signed a corresponding protocol.
