The Almaty police expelled 18 individuals from Uzbekistan who violated Kazakhstan's migration laws, "Polisia.kz" reports.
During preventive measures, the Almaty police identified 18 offenders from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The migration department head, Askhat Butunchynov, stated that the police transported the offenders to the state border checkpoint at Zhibek Joli (Chernyayevka) using a multi-seater bus.
He added that the police in Almaty will continue to work on preventing illegal migration and identifying illegal recruitment of foreigners under the "Migrant," "Illegal," and "Law and Order" operations.
Uzbekistan is the fifth largest labor supplier to Kazakhstan, with foreigners mainly coming from China, India, Turkey, Great Britain, and Uzbekistan to work. Currently, 1,640 employers in Kazakhstan use the services of foreign migrants, with 96% of employees being citizens of Kazakhstan.
