Kazakh food delivery service Airba Fresh is planning to launch in Uzbekistan in 2024, Forbes.kz reports.
Airba Fresh is a mobile application for ordering groceries, ready meals, and semi-finished products. The platform was first launched in November 2022 in Almaty. The company has a meat factory for producing semi-ready products available and signs direct contracts with farmers of the Almaty region for meat supply.
The company managed to collect a customer base of 20,000 users in five months after the platform launch. Almost $9mn has already been invested in the project, and financing is still expected to continue.
"We will thoroughly test our business model, but we already know exactly how much space we need for scaling, how many staff, and how much investment. There are plans to enter the Uzbek market in 2024," Eduard Kim, owner of "Technodom" (Airba Fresh's parent company) said.
