The Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a virtual meeting with the Minister of Trade and Industry of Egypt, Ahmed Saleh to discuss the current situation and prospects for strengthening bilateral ties in the trade-economic, investment, and industrial spheres, Dunyo reports.
The two sides spoke of measures to establish a joint Center for Industrial Cooperation and Distribution in Port Said to locate Uzbek enterprises to produce textile, leather, and electrical engineering products. Furthermore, the Egyptian side expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive support for the effective implementation of projects on time.
Besides, aspects of establishing a joint businessmen's council between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries and holding its first meeting in Tashkent this summer within the framework of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission were agreed upon.
