A ceremony for handing over car keys was held at the presidential complex in Ankara.
"From today on we will see Togg on the roads," said the Turkish president.
Erdoğan noted that the creation and development of the first Togg electric car and its development to the current level is a symbol of technological and economic progress and Turkey's global reputation.
He expressed confidence that Togg will gain popularity not only in Turkey but also among car enthusiasts all over the world.
Togg has a 160-kilowatt battery that can travel 314 kilometers on a single charge. The cheapest model of the electric car costs 953,000 liras (more than $50,000), and the more powerful ones cost 1,215mn Turkish liras ($63,000). The first delivery is scheduled for July.
