Polish authorities handed over several MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, Marchin Przydach, a representative of the Polish president on international affairs, reports on the air of RMF radio station on April 3.
"As far as I know, several MiG-29s have already been sent," he said.
"According to my information, if we talk about the delivery of the first batch, this process has already been completed," Przydach added.
According to him, Poland plans to replace these fighters with more modern jet models in the next few years.
Poland reportedly has 28 MiG-29 fighters, which are located at the air base in the city of Malbork.
Polish President Andrzej Duda previously announced on March 16 that Kyiv will receive the first four MiG-29 fighter jets from Warsaw in the coming days. According to him, the remaining planes are currently undergoing maintenance and then be delivered.
