For the first time, Uzbekistan welcomed Erasmus+ programme participants to an official networking reception, hosted by the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan in partnership with the National Erasmus+ Office.

The event took place at the residence of EU Ambassador Toivo Klaar and marked a milestone in the country’s growing engagement with international higher education initiatives.
More than 80 guests attended the reception, including recipients of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree, International Credit Mobility (ICM) participants, and members of Jean Monnet and Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects. Representatives from universities across Uzbekistan also took part, reflecting the programme's broad and inclusive reach.
The evening offered a dynamic platform to build new connections, recognize the academic achievements of Uzbek scholars, and foster open dialogue among alumni, current participants, and education professionals.
Ambassador Klaar emphasized the importance of academic exchange in strengthening EU-Uzbekistan ties, noting that Erasmus+ plays a vital role in promoting excellence, innovation, and intercultural understanding.
This landmark event highlighted the expanding footprint of Erasmus+ in Uzbekistan and reinforced the European Union's ongoing commitment to support education, mobility, and international cooperation across the region.
