Sixty-nine thousand cars have been legalized in Kazakhstan over the past two months, media reports. Most vehicles (67%) have been shipped from neighboring Russia. Another third was transferred from Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Georgia.
Legal applications continue to be accepted in all Kazakh Citizen Service Centers, media reports. Online applications can be submitted on the e-government portal and mobile banking applications. The search process and customs base are automated.
In addition, the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs proposes to start the registration of the so-called 'car designers,' that is, cars imported under the guise of spare parts. The project is awaiting approval from the Government.
