Uzbekistan placed 20th in the annual ranking on air pollution out of 131 countries of the world, as the Central Asian republic scored 33.5 μg/m3, the IQAir portal reported referring to the data of the monitoring station in the capital Tashkent.
Reportedly, the annual concentration of PM 2.5 exceeds the norm by 6.7 times (the standard set by the World Health Organization is 5 μg/m3).

IQAir reported the cleanest air in Australia, New Zealand, Grenada, Finland, Estonia, and Iceland. On the other hand, the USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, etc., use advanced technologies for environmental protection, and the high position of technical and regulatory documents is at the bottom of the ranking.
