Uzbekistan's president Shavkat Mirziyoyev on March 13 got acquainted with the activities of "Termez National Carpets" LLC in the Termez district of the Surkhandarya region. Afterward, there was a ceremony for launching 6 new production facilities, the press office of the president informs.
Representatives of "Indenim Cluster" in Termez city, "Fabullo stroy servis" in Zharqorgan district, "Angor Baraka" in Angor district, "Termiz Agro Impex" in Termez district, the small industrial zone of construction materials in Sariosiyo district and "Topalang" hydroelectric power station gave information about the potential of the complexes through video communication.
"Termez National Carpets" LLC has the capacity to produce 2.2 mn square meters of carpets per year. To achieve such results, modern equipment from Germany, Belgium, and Turkey was installed and 150 new jobs were created.
About half of the products are planned to be exported. 80% of raw materials are localized. In a short time after launching, carpets and carpet products worth $255,000 were exported to Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. This year, it is planned to deliver products worth $4mn to foreign customers.
The enterprise pays special attention to the use of alternative energy. Solar panels are currently being used for exterior and interior lighting systems. Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the production process. He inspected the exhibition of industrial products produced in the region.
"Indenim Cluster" LLC in the city of Termez specializes in the production of ready-made clothes from cotton fiber. The complex created 400 new jobs.
The production of 75,000 cubic meters of autoclave gas blocks per year was mastered at the "Fabullo Stroy Servis" enterprise in Zhargorgon district, and 80 new jobs were created.
A national handicraft center was established in the trading complex of "Angor Baraka" LLC in the Angor district. About 125,000 pieces of ready-made garments, 50 types of national clothes, and handicraft products are produced there every year, providing employment for about a thousand women.
Modern construction materials are produced in a small industrial zone in the Saryosi district.
"Termiz Agro Impex" LLC built a 3,000-ton freezer warehouse and a modern greenhouse in Termiz District, providing employment to 220 people.
As part of the modernization project of the "Topalang" hydroelectric power station, its total capacity now reaches 175 megawatts. This allows the production of 467 mn kWh of electricity per year.
In general, these 6 enterprises will create 2,000 new jobs, production rates in the region will increase by UZS 370 bn, and $20mn will be added to its export.
