Uzbekistan’s Minister of Education issued a new order, including some paragraphs on the additional responsibility of school teachers and parents for the safety of the life and health of students.
Under the new amendments, the rules forbid the teacher to expel the student for any violation until the parents or legal representatives arrive. The educational institution must notify the adults and invite them to take the necessary measures.
'In addition, now both students and teachers should not unnecessarily use cell phones in lessons', - the Ministry of Education said.
Adults, including their parents and other legal representatives, are responsible for children while they are away from school lessons.
The new order will take effect on March 20.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of Children’s Rights of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yuliya Ovechkina said that pupils with poor grades in Kazakh schools will be placed under special pedagogical control.
'This will help to identify children who need special attention of teachers and comprehensive support', Ovechkina said.
