Uzbekistan plans to launch a national movement to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among the public, Uzbekistan National News Agency has reported.
There are plans to limit and increase requirements for food, energy drinks, medications, and additive advertisements aimed at children. The list of food additives, including flavor and coloring additives that are not recommended for children, will be created and mandated across educational institutions.
A mobile application designed to educate the public about healthy eating habits and well-being will be developed. Healthy eating and fitness regime recommendations based on locally available food, age, body type, and other factors will be provided. Facilities for supporting physical activity and healthy eating at the workplace will be also created.
