First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furqat Siddikov is expected to be appointed as the ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States. This was reported by the source of "Daryo".
The thirty-second plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, which will be held on March 2, will consider the approval of the diplomat for a new position.
Furkat Siddikov was born on February 7, 1971, in Tashkent. He graduated from Tashkent State Technical University in 1993 working as a senior specialist at UzDaewoo Electronics.
Between 2015 and 2020, he had served as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, before being designated as the deputy minister of foreign affairs. On November 14, 2022, Siddikov assumed the post as the first deputy minister of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan.
