Uzbek Ambassador Javlon Vakhabov held talks with the Co-Chairs and members of ‘The Caucus on Uzbekistan in the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Congressmen Trent Kelly, CVicente Gonzalez, Don Bacon, Dunyo reports. Particular attention was drawn to measures aimed at expanding inter-parliamentary ties and deepening the dialogue in the political, trade, investment, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, Dunyo reports.
‘My trip to Uzbekistan was the best among the countries I have ever visited, and I have very good memories of Uzbekistan's food, architecture, and history, ' Congressman Don Bacon said, recalling his trip to the Central Asian country. He also expressed his readiness to visit Uzbekistan with the newly elected members of the U.S. Congress.
U.S. lawmakers assured that this year the number of members of the ‘Caucus on Uzbekistan’ will increase due to newly elected congressmen.
‘Since we are co-chairs of this friendship group, we invite them to join this Caucus during meetings with our new friends in the Congress, Trent Kelly said.
Following negotiations with Congressmen Trent Kelly, Vicente Gonzalez, and Don Bacon, an agreement was reached on strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States and implementing activities planned for 2023.
