The period of stay for Uzbeks in Kazakhstan without registration has been extended to 30 days, the press service of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency reports.
The amendment to the agreement "On the conditions of mutual arrival and departure of citizens of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan" allows the citizens of Uzbekistan to stay in Kazakhstan without registration for 30 calendar days from the day of crossing the border.
But the total period of stay should not exceed 90 calendar days during 180 calendar days, i.e. 3 times in and out during 6 months, and the total period of stay should not exceed 3 months.
The new rule comes into force on January 27, 2023.
The Uzbek citizens who wish to work in Kazakhstan should register with the People's Service Center and get a permit for a period of 3 months or a quota by potential employers.
