This investment is part of a larger economic initiative within Uzbekistan, which includes receiving $2.6 bn from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) for 12 projects focusing on green energy, water supply, and infrastructure development from 2024 to 2026. Additionally, Uzbekistan is preparing for the AIIB Board of Directors meeting in Samarkand this September, which will focus on advancing discussions on current and upcoming projects.
