Uzbek Ambassador Javlon Vakhabov held talks with the editorial board of Bloomberg, a financial, software, data, and media company headquartered in Midtown Manhattan, New York City to discuss prospects of using the content resources of the media holding to promote trade, investment, and tourism potential of Uzbekistan as well as to expand cooperation with Central Asian country’s media companies.
Reportedly, Uzbekistan has seen an increase in the number of non-state media, newspapers, magazines, publishing, and printing houses, comprising to a figure of two thousand at present.
In turn, Mark Saputo, Practice Lead at Bloomberg, noted the company's readiness to use Bloomberg's innovative capabilities to promote content about Uzbekistan through the media holding's multimedia platforms, including television, radio, digital, and print media. In this context, the American side expressed its readiness to highlight the business opportunities and tourism potential of Uzbekistan. Interest was also expressed in visiting Uzbekistan to create unique media content for the multi-million audience of Bloomberg.
Hence concrete steps were outlined to intensify the partnership, and an agreement was reached on establishing a mechanism for regular interaction.
