Uzbekistan, on January 30, brought together experts from the Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA), the Italian national research institution with competence in the field of agriculture, fisheries, forestry, and economics, to participate in a fair supported by the republic's Ministry of Agriculture and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Dunyo reports.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the visit that is set to be held till February 34 takes place in light of the project entitled 'Support of inclusive transition to the green economy in the agro-food sector and development of a climate-optimized system of agricultural knowledge and innovation in Uzbekistan' (EU-AGRIN), funded by the EU.
Italian experts will assist in raising the knowledge and capacity of local institutions and institutions to establish and operate innovative groups for the practical implementation of projects in pilot regions of Uzbekistan.
These groups aim to demonstrate mitigation and adaptation measures and accelerate the green transition in the agro-food sector.
The visit program includes a training seminar for specialists of relevant organizations, agencies, representatives of science and education, as well as farmers and other stakeholders. Meetings are also planned with representatives of ministries and agencies, the private sector, and the media.
CREA is the leading organization providing comprehensive support to create and develop operational and innovative groups in Italy.
