The results of the 2022 Corruption Perceptions Index show that Uzbekistan took 126th place with 31 points among 180 countries. The country rose by 3 points and managed to improve its position by 14 places (140 places in 2021).
Uzbekistan was listed in this index as a country that has been recording growth for the past 6 years, among the countries that are systematically implementing anti-corruption reforms in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region.
In 2017, Uzbekistan ranked 157th in the international ranking on the fight against corruption. In 2020, the country improved its place in Transparency International's ranking of corruption by 7 points. In the rating, Uzbekistan took 146th place among 180 countries.
