In accordance with the Law of October 28, 2022 "On Approving the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan", the list of jobs and duties prohibited for youth under 18 working in some industry is expected to be approved by the Court of Ministers.
According to the list, it is prohibited to use the labor of minors in the following areas:
- mining, construction of metro, tunnels and special underground facilities;
- geological prospecting and topography and geodesy work;
- metallurgical industry;
- production and transmission of heat and electricity (power industry);
- drilling wells, oil and gas extraction;
- production of oil, gas, coal, petroleum oils and lubricants, working in main oil pipelines, gas pipelines and oil bases;
- chemical production;
- petrochemical industry;
- microbial production;
- production of medicines, medicine, bacterial and biological preparations and products;
- mechanical engineering and metal processing;
- repair of aircraft, engines and their equipment;
- electrical engineering industry;
- production of radio equipment and electronics;
- building materials industry;
- production of ceramic products;
- production of porcelain and earthenware;
- production of glass and glass products;

This decision will enter into force on May 1, 2023, and the relevant ministries and agencies will coordinate the regulatory legal documents adopted by them with this decision.
