The awarding ceremony of the winners of "The best work of the year" was held at the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan. This was reported by UzA.
The Members of the Union of Writers contested in prose, poetry, dramaturgy, literary translation, literary criticism, and literary journalism.
A total of 103 works from 61 authors were submitted to the creative competition. According to the final conclusions, Luqman Borikhan was awarded the highest place for his historical novel "Imam Moturidi".
- Raim Farhodi on poetry - for the book "Elephant - Bus" written for children;
- Tursun Ali - for the poetry book "Sailanma";
- Prose Muhammad Ali - for the historical novel "Cleopatra";
- Shahodat Isakhanova - for the historical novel "Nodirai Davron";
- Kochkor Norqabil in drama - for the book "Be as tall as mountains";
- Risolat Haydarova on translation - for the translation of Ivan Bunin's "Secluded Alleys", Galina Dolgaya's "Song of Rushing Waters", Nobel laureate Ivo Andrich's "Drina Bridge";
- Marat Taomuratov won for a series of articles and essays published in such publications as "Literature and Art of Uzbekistan", "Amudarya" in the field of literary criticism.
