January 13. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, chaired an extended meeting of the Security Council at the National Center for Defense Management.
The meeting analyzed the work carried out in 2022 to strengthen the defense and security of Uzbekistan.
Last year alone, more than 3 thousand families of servicemen received the keys of flats; children entered universities on preferential basis.
"It is necessary to take into account all these circumstances in order to preserve our greatest wealth, a peaceful life, to ensure the well-being of our people, and to define our future plans. We must ensure the state sovereignty, inviolability of its borders and territorial integrity of Uzbekistan in any situation. This is our sacred duty and obligation to history and future generations," Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed.
The state leader emphasized the need to accelerate the digitization of the Armed Forces, to unite all the information resources of the ministries and agencies in the field into a single secure information space. The National Defense Command Center will be the core of this system.
"We don't need to look for this power from abroad. "Our glorious history, our rich scientific and cultural heritage, the lives and activities of our ancestors are a real lesson for us," the head of state continued.
Members of the Security Council, heads of military-administrative sectors spoke at the meeting noting the measures to further strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
At the end of his speech, the president congratulated all military personnel and our people on the 31st anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and the Day of Defenders of the Motherland.
