Currently, Uzbekistan's territory is covered by the southwestern periphery of a broad and very cold anticyclone over the eastern provinces of neighboring Kazakhstan.
Uzhydromet has reported that no precipitation is expected in Uzbekistan, except for Tashkent, Syrdarya, Surkhandarya, and Fergana Valley provinces, with some snow possible. Air temperature is expected to be 7-12 degrees below zero in the afternoon.
At the weekend, drought will remain in all provinces of the country. On Saturday, the temperature will be 12-17 degrees cold at night, 20 degrees cold in some places, 5-10 degrees cold during the day, and 12 degrees cold in some parts.
On Sunday, relatively warm air from the Caspian Sea will begin to enter the northwestern provinces of the country, which will begin to push the cold periphery of the anticyclone. The weather will warm up to 12-17 degrees cold at night, and 5-10 degrees cold throughout the day.
Fog will fall in some parts of the Central Asian country. The roads are to remain slippery in some places. On January 13-16, it is not recommended to go to mountainous areas due to the increased risk of avalanches.
