The Professional Football League of Uzbekistan has become a full-fledged member of the World Association of Professional Football Leagues, which unites the world's leading football leagues.
The World Association of Professional Football Leagues (WLF) is an international organization that unites 45 leading leagues around the world. On December 1, 2015, when 23 world football leagues signed a declaration of mutual agreement in Paris, the first step was taken to create an association. This organization was officially founded on May 1, 2016, in Zurich.
"We are very pleased to see the Professional Football League of Uzbekistan at the world leagues forum and that it has become our new member. We are happy to open up the opportunities of Uzbekistan football in cooperation," the general secretary of the association, Jerome Perlemuter, commented.
WLF unites UEFA countries such as England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Turkey, Belgium, Portugal, Ukraine, AFC Australia, UAE, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Thailand.
