On January 4, at about 1:30 p.m. on the slopes of Greater Chimgan Mountain in Bostanlyk district, a 61-year-old Russian national was skiing despite warnings about the danger of avalanches in a prohibited area. This claimed his life after he fell under snowdrifts.
The rescue team immediately arrived at the scene. His body was removed under the snowdrifts.
