Two young women were found hanged in the Peshku district of Bukhara province, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office, Khayot Shamsutdinov, reported on Thursday (January 5).
The first case occurred on December 30 at around 3:18 p.m. in the Peshku neighborhood. A 21-year-old woman was found hanged from a synthetic rope, presumably as a suicide act. Close acquaintances said she never had a suicidal mind. That day she was at home.
The second incident occurred on January 1 at about 7:40 a.m. in the Khurram neighborhood. A 24-year-old woman was found hanged in a barn. Her relatives also stated that she never had suicidal intentions.
Investigations are underway.
